I’m excited to share a meaningful milestone in my journey as a bodyworker: I’ve completed advanced training in Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) through Klose Training—one of the most respected lymphatic education programs in the world. With this certification, I’m now equipped to offer specialized care for individuals managing lymphedema, lipedema, post-surgical swelling, and the effects of lymph node removal following cancer treatment.
The Luminosity Difference:
While many Certified Lymphedema Therapists are physical or occupational therapists working in fast-paced clinical settings, I offer a complementary approach: A soothing, spa-like environment with ample time for each session, where healing isn’t rushed and your whole self is supported - mind, body and spirit.
My goal is to create a therapeutic experience that blends medical excellence with comfort, presence, and care. This allows patients not only to receive effective, evidence-based treatment — but to also feel deeply supported during what can be a vulnerable time. I offer a personalized and exclusive setting with ample time and privacy between sessions.
For My Existing Clients:
I’ll absolutely continue offering Manual Lymphatic Drainage for wellness and post-operative recovery in my practice — these remain a core part of my work.
CDT training allows me to enhance and elevate these services with a deeper understanding of the lymphatic system and how to safely support more complex conditions. Whether you're recovering from cosmetic surgery or managing long-term swelling, your treatment will now benefit from advanced training and greater clinical insight.
What the Training Involved:
The program was immersive and hands-on, covering the four core pillars of CDT:
Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD)
Compression bandaging and garment education
Targeted movement and exercise
Skin care and self-management techniques
We also studied comorbidities, contraindications, and how to work safely with clients who are undergoing or recovering from cancer treatments. We were rigorously tested through written exams, case studies, and practical skill assessments.
One of the highlights was learning directly from Guenter Klose, the founder and director of the program. Our lead instructor, Joy, brought a wealth of experience in oncology, wound care, and education. The level of knowledge and support throughout this training was truly exceptional.
Why This Matters for My Clients:
If you're living with lymphedema or lipedema, recovering from breast surgery, or seeking maintenance care after CDT, you deserve specialized support that honors both your medical needs and your emotional well-being.
I understand how overwhelming the healthcare system can feel — especially when appointments are short, environments feel clinical, or you're asked to manage a complex condition with minimal guidance. In my practice, I provide more than just a treatment. I create space for you to feel safe, grounded, and heard.
Whether you’re coming in for:
Ongoing maintenance of lymphedema
Post-mastectomy or lymph node removal care
Gentle support during lipedema management
Post-surgical swelling or oncology recovery
Or cosmetic surgery recovery and routine MLD
…I now have the advanced tools, training, and heart to meet you where you are — and walk with you through your healing.
A Note from the Journey:
Being the only LMT in a cohort of PTs and OTs was both humbling and empowering. This experience affirmed the vital and unique role massage therapists can play in integrative wellness. I’m more inspired than ever to bring this level of specialized service to my community — blending luxury, comfort, and clinical excellence.
